We’re happy to finally reveal the title of Jenny’s upcoming album first here on JR.C:

Jennifer Rush’s 10th studio album which is set for release in early 2010 will be called:

NOW IS THE HOUR

Jennifer Rush has almost finished recordings for her upcoming 10th studio album and I’m glad I can finally reveal some more details to you here first:
Everyone on the team here in Berlin is excited and highly motivated and it’s a joy to watch this album grow. Jennifer’s work in the studio is flawless, the first versions we heard ran goosebumps all over my body, because she sounds so amazing! Only a few more songs to go, also minor additional recordings have to be made for the previous ones (choirs, extra vocals) and I can promise you the best Jennifer Rush ever!

Among the done tracks are all the ballads as well as a few mid-tempo tracks. Even within the ballads she managed to create a variety of styles. There is a beautiful old-school pop ballad called „I Never Asked For An Angel“ written by Jörgen Elofsson who contributed three songs to this album. Also among the ballads is a huge one which starts quiet but turns out into a real anthem towards the end – this one will blow you away! And for the first time ever you will hear Jennifer Rush sing a very pure piano-only ballad, almost lullaby-like. The song is called „Still“ and was a favourite of Jenny ever since the first hearing.

This week of recordings here is also the „dance week“, Jennifer just finished recording „Echoes Love“ a fantastic dance-pop smash you fans will love! Whoever thought Jennifer Rush is only ballads and mainstream pop is so so wrong. She’s going pop and disco on this album and it suits Jennifer just fine who can’t wait to throw out new and fresh music. Also be prepared for „Down On My Knees“ which is just HOT!!! This stuff calls for massive airplay and clubs, so watch out!
The as yet untitled album will be finished this autumn, but in order to achieve the best possible promotion schedule and timing for exclusive TV appearances the release will most likely be early 2010 according to Sony Music.

This album is DEFINITELY worth waiting for – I know it has been an awful long time, but she is back, she really is, people! So hang in there and look forward to the new Jenny!

Jennifer Rush and the producer team of Valicon will get together again by the end of August for final recordings. After a long and thorough process all songs have been picked and Jennifer is extremely happy with the tracklisting of the new album. It’s a mix of fresh dance-able uptempo songs, some floating mid-tempos and of course great ballads. From a huge hymn (simply made for Jennifer Rush’s unique voice!) over to classic pop and nearly acoustic ballads. We’re pleased to announce that songwriters for the new Jennifer Rush album include Swedish pop mastermind Jörgen Elofsson (Leona Lewis, Westlife, Celine Dion), British singer/songwriter Natasha Bedingfield, Niara Scarlett (Sugababes, Girls Aloud) as well as Nashville songwriting legend Sharon Vaughn (Trisha Yearwood, Delta Goodrem, Alcazar).
